The short version
- We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal.
- We keep what we need to ship your order and stay in touch: your name, email, shipping address, what you ordered, and your phone number if you give it.
- We don't sell or rent your information.
- We only text you when Arbo plays near you and about fan-only deals, and only if you check the box. Reply STOP any time.
- We use a few tools to see how the site works and to measure our ads. They don't record what you type into forms.
- Email stevie@arboband.com and we'll show you or delete what we have.
Who we are
Arbo is an independent band. This policy covers arboband.com and our free-CD offer. When we say "we," that's us, the band. Questions go to stevie@arboband.com.
What you give us
- Your name and email, so we can send your order confirmation and news about the band.
- Your shipping address, so we can mail your CD.
- Your phone number, only if you choose to give it. We use it for shipping updates and to help the carrier deliver. We use it for marketing texts only if you check the box.
- What you ordered and when.
What we don't collect
- Card numbers and bank details. These go straight to our payment processors, Stripe and PayPal, and never touch our systems. Apple Pay and Google Pay work the same way. Both are certified to the highest level of the card industry's security standard (PCI DSS Level 1).
- About the one-click add-ons: after your $5 order, we offer a few extras you can add with one tap. To make that work, Stripe or PayPal keeps your payment method on file for us. We only charge it when you tap to add something, and we never see the card or account details.
- Passwords. There are no accounts to create.
- Social Security numbers, ID numbers or anything like them. We never ask.
What's collected automatically
Like most websites, ours notes some basics when you visit: the pages you look at, what you click, your device and browser type, your general location based on your IP address, and which ad or link brought you here. If you give us your email, we save that general area (city and state, not your street) with it so we can tell you about shows near you. If you enter a shipping address at checkout but don't finish your order, we keep that address with your email so we can follow up about your order or tell you about shows near you. We don't sell it or use it for anything else. We store a random ID in your browser so we can count visitors without knowing who they are.
We use these tools:
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how people use our pages (where they tap, how far they scroll, where they get stuck) so we can fix what's confusing. It's set to hide anything typed into our forms, and it can't see payment fields at all. Clarity keeps this for a limited time. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Google address suggestions. When you type in the "Find your address" box, what you type is sent to Google Maps to suggest matching addresses. See Google's privacy policy.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) helps us measure whether our ads work, and show them to people likely to enjoy our music. When you order, we send Meta a coded, scrambled version of details like your email so it can match the sale to an ad. You can manage this in your Facebook ad settings.
How we use your information
- To process, ship and support your order.
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates and news about Arbo (new music, shows, merch). Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To text you when Arbo plays near you and about fan-only deals, only if you opted in.
- To improve the website and fix problems.
- To prevent fraud and keep records required for taxes and accounting.
Who helps us
We share only what each company needs to do its job for us:
- Stripe and PayPal process payments.
- Shopify manages orders and shipping.
- Shipping carriers (like USPS) deliver your package.
- GoHighLevel sends our emails and texts.
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
- Microsoft Clarity, Google (address suggestions) and Meta, as described above.
We may also share information if the law requires it. We don't sell or rent your personal information.
Text messages
If you check the box to get texts from us, we'll send recurring messages when Arbo plays near you and about fan-only deals. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is never required to buy anything. We keep a record of when you opted in, which is required by law.
We don't share your mobile number or your text opt-in with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as we need them for shipping, customer support, taxes and our own records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, except what the law requires us to keep (like tax records). If you unsubscribe or reply STOP, we stop contacting you.
How we protect it
Everything on our site travels over an encrypted connection. Payment details never reach us. Only the band can see order information.
Your choices
- See, fix or delete your information: email stevie@arboband.com and we'll take care of it.
- Stop emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Stop texts: reply STOP.
- Limit tracking: your browser can block cookies, and your Facebook settings control ad personalization.
Kids
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
